The Baby Tag!!

I just had to take it upon myself to do this tag, I've never done any tags before this one so here goes! I thought it would be kinda fun and interesting!

1.Where were you when you first found out that you were pregnant? at our house in Saratoga Springs

2.Who was with you? Brant, still sleeping though

3.How did you find out that you were pregnant? About six pregnancy tests, I just really couldn't believe it!

4.What was your first reaction to finding out you were pregnant? shocked, ecstatic, and trilled!!

5.Who was the first person you told? Brant

6.Did you plan to get pregnant? Yes, it took its own sweet time though, like a year!

7.Did you tell everyone else right away? No, other than those I worked with, because I had morning sickness, and they needed to know why I was sick in the morning when I had to work. Family and freinds found out at the 12 week mark! It was hard to keep it from everyone.

8.Was everybody happy for you? Yes, they said I had the "Pregnancy Glow"

9.Did you go out and celebrate? Sadly, I don't remember:(

10.Did you want to find out the sex? Yes

11.What was the sex? A girl

12.Did anyone throw you a baby shower? Yes, my mom and Natalie and Aimee.

13. Did you get any outfits at the baby shower that you just knew that you wouldn't put on your baby? I will admit it, yes, only two though

14.How much weight did you gain? Just the baby weight, about eight pounds

15.Did you lose all of the weight that you gained? Yes, and then some coz of the nursing and unusual eating habits, but sadly I gained weight about three months later coz I got used to eating food again, I am eating smaller portions now and trying to exercise more, just to get healthier and happier with myself !!

16.Did you get any stretch marks? just a few tiny ones by my belly button, not too visible thankfully, not that I will show anyone though.

17.What did you crave the most? ummm, I would have to say fruit slushies from the Chevron gas station around the corner from our home.

18.Did you crave anything crazy? bubilicious bubble gum, yes I know that is strange, Brant said so himself, he didn't think that was a craving though because you don't eat gum, but I thought so, coz I wanted it to chew on, and I never chew bubble gum.

19.Who or what got on your nerves? My dog, Scooter, I just had to clean up after him a lot, he still gets on my nerves to this day though, so I don't think it was much of a pregnancy thing.

20.Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? Nope, thank goodness!

21.Where and when did you go into labor? in our house in bed at 2:30 AM

22.Did your water break? No, not until she finally came out!

23.Who drove you to the hospital? Brant

24.Who was in the room when you gave birth? Brant, and my Doula, and of course my OBGYN and the nurses.

25.Did you go early or late? I started having surges on my due date, but she took all day, and night, and then some, til she finally came out the next morning!!!
26.How long were you in labor for? Only 26 hours!!

27.Did you have any drugs for the pain? Proud to say not-a-one!!! I did a process called Hypno-birthing, you may have heard of it. basically it is where one hypnotizes herself into feeling everything during birth, EXCEPT the pain, like being aware of when to open the birthing canal. It was amazing and, Yes, I would do it again in a heart beat!! I only recommend it to those of you who believe in yourselves enough to know you can do it.

28.Did you go natural or have a C-section? All Natural!!!!!!!

29.What was your first reaction after giving birth? a feeling of worry, I didn't get to hear her first cry, but also a feeling of faith, and calm, knowing she will be healthy and strong!!

30.How big was the baby? 8 lbs 2 oz. 20 1/2 in.

31.Did your husband cry? I wasn't paying attention to him much, but yes, I think he had a little something in his eyes.
32.What did you name the baby? Tejia Bernice

33.Does her name have any significant meaning? Bernice is my grandma's name who passed away when I was younger, everyone says I look a lot like her, and she is my dad's mom, and Tejia kinda reminded me of my dad and grandma B when I saw her, so it became Tejia's middle name!! it suits her great though, some of us call her Tejia B!

34.Did you have any visitors? Yes, family and friends, and we had a blessing given to her from a good friend, Jymn, and also from our brother-in-law, Brandon, We are grateful for you two doing that for us!!

35.Did she have any complications? Unfortunately, yes, but it all turned out wonderful in the end. She had some respiratory problems, and jaundice, she was in the NICU for the longest six days of my life, thank goodness I was able to stay there in the hospital with her to nurse and help her recover faster. She also took so long to come out because she was turned up-side-down, and couldn't come out til she was turned right! stubborn little bugar, just kidding, I love her!

36.How old is your baby today? 3 years, 4 months

37.When is the next one coming? hopefully soon! I am not the fastest woman at getting pregnant, by no fault of my own, If it were up to me, I would probably have had my second one by now!!

38.If you could, would you do it all over again? Yes, yes, and yes again!!! it is the best thing in the world!!!!!!!!
