The Egg Hunt for Eagle Mountain!!

So, we had never been to one of these egg hunts before, so I thought we could check it out this year! It was fun!! Not like I had expected, but it was great! The hunt consisted of 3 age groups ranging from 3 up to 12 years old and Tejia was in the 5-8 year olds! The lawn was marked off for the egg territory and the kids were not allowed to go in until the horn sounded then they just run a free-for-all!! and grab as many eggs as they can! it was funny to watch because it was like a herd of ants or something all swarming the lawn for the eggs!! The kids came in waves and then the hunt was over in about 1 minute! WOW!! Tejia had a lot of fun though! Even though she spilled a few eggs out of her basket at the end and another little girl came and snatched some of Tej's eggs :( I felt bad though coz the other little girl had like no eggs whatsoever, so we let her have a few. If we go next time, Tejia will have a better basket that won't spill!!

Easter Morning!!

Tejia and her new favorite toy, wearing her cute little Easter Dress for church on Easter Sunday!
Some of the things the Easter Bunny brought Tejia!

...and her kinda strange reaction to what she saw Easter morning. She was being all awkward for the camera, oh well!
She found a few dollar bills as well!! That is always exciting!!

Eater Egg Hunt with Syd and Jax!!

Tejia had a blast with her cousins Sydney and Jaxon on Easter!! She went on an egg hunt with the help of the two cousins and found a basket full of goodies!! Next year the Easter Bunny should just bring eggs and not worry about stuffing the eggs, Tejia loves the eggs the most and could care less about what is in them! haha!!

Easter Egg coloring fun!!

Tejia and I started to have a little Easter egg fun last night!! I thought we better color some eggs so we can enjoy them a little before Easter gets here!
Tejia is putting the egg in the dye ever so gently! She did a great job!
I like this picture because of her little face, she is SOOO concentrating!!
This is the egg she wanted to put a moon on with the glue and glitter!! I didn't get a picture of the finished eggs yet, but I will, and try to put them on with this post!

Finally, this is just what colors we dyed the eggs!! We then put glue all over them with a bunch of glitter! Now my fridge smells like stinky eggs! yum! :P

Mini-vacation!!

So, we went on a little family vacation up to Park City and stayed there a few nights and did a few fun family outings while there!! The pictures are a bit out of order of the things we did, but here they are anyway! We went to Hollywood Connection for our last day since it was closer to home and Tejia had a BLAST there!! I mean, it is mainly for kids anyway, so we just wanted her to have a great time and she did!

Bumper cars are always a favorite in our family, because of the crazy crashing into each other with out getting hurt, it is just a little crazy fun!! Look at the faces on Brant and Tejia! Tej's is the best though! I know it's a bit dark in the pic, but it was indoors and not the best lighting, oh well. :)
Next we went rollerskating, and I haven't don that in years!!! wow, roller blading is so much easier, they had roller blades there, but you had to pay extra for those, dumb, I know, but I didn't have my $ on me so we just did with skates!! This was Tejia's second time roller skating, and she kept pulling on me and falling down, but we went around the rink a few times, and she practiced on the carpeted area a bit too, and she got better and better!! Maybe Skates for her this year on her birthday! We will see!!!

And I think that the Balloon ride was her favorite of them all!! She loves the thrill rides and this one goes up in the air and you spin in your balloon carrier, really fast if you want, and believe me, Tejia wanted to!!

This was her next favorite ride! The roller coaster!! She DID NOT want me or Brant to ride withe her, she had the caboose all to herself and she LOVED it!!
Lastly at Hollywood Connection, we watched a magic show and the magician was pretty great for the little kids and had balloon fun after the show, and Tejia got a laser gun and a flower, good combo, right? Haha!!
Another day we went to the Hogle Zoo as you can see!! Tej was a bit of a bugar for some of the day, I think she just needed a nap, but didn't have one until later, because she was so excited to go on "bay-cation" as she calls it!! You can't tell that by her pictures, but she was! We still had a lot of fun anyway!

On another day, we went bowling up in Park City and it was really fun, I hadn't been for a long time, so it was nice to just get away and do some fun things!!
Tejia is showing off her awesome bowling shoes she got to wear!! I loved her style of bowling!! she did it "Granny Style"!

And Finally, just a few pics of the hotel fun: the swimming pool and hot tub!! That is the best part of any hotel for a kid!!! Tejia just loved it!! We were at the pool every night and sometimes more than once in a day!! Here she is just waiting to go to the pool!!
and now in the hot tub
chillin' with dad!
sneaking back and forth from pool to hot tub
and finally trying to learn to swim with mom!
We had such a great time, just getting out and enjoying each others company, not in our home, although home is nice, it is just as nice to have a little getaway now and then too!!
Our next vacation will be in July and We plan on going to San Diego to see Seaworld and maybe Disneyland if we get the chance to, I am not so sure though, I will be 7-8 months pregnant by then and it will be the middle of summer, so we will see. Hopefully we can have a few family members join us on that trip!!!
