So Tejia's preschool class just recently got to go on a little field trip to see the fire dept. of Saratoga Springs and they had a lot of fun and a great learning experience!!! The pic above shows the kids learning they need to crawl out of a room if it was to have smoke in it. They learned how to "stop, drop, and roll" and to get low.
Here they are learning what a fireman needs to wear when going into a building to fight a fire.
And this is fire-woman, Cindy Lou who is showing the kids that firemen, or women, are not scary people when they are all dressed in their outfit to fight a fire. She showed them that she needs to wear this special outfit to protect her body from the fire and smoke so she can go in and try to fight fires.
All the kids were so great at the fire department!! They paid close attention and loved every minute of their field trip!!

Here is our new vehicle!!! I am so very excited to have this, since we had to get rid of our Mazda CX-7. I missed that one like crazy, but this Ford Flex will suffice!! No, seriously, I love the Flex. It is VERY roomy inside and, just so I don't have to go into detail on it, a very awesome family vehicle overall!! Brant Tejia and I all love it!!
